Glassdoor User Profiles
Glassdoor: User Profiles
With the changes we were making to our job search product, in conjunction with the changing SaaS & Social Media landscape, we decided to move forward with creating profiles for users. This was a completely new product for the company so we wanted to create a vision, then distill that vision down to it simplest form for launch.
Problem
Users are having to upload documents and resumes, or fill out complicated forms to apply for each and every job, which can be taxing and redundant.
Goal
Create a new digital resume that connects with all the powers of Glassdoor products - to streamline the application process for end-users and employers managing the hiring process.
Wireframing & User Research
Worked closely with the Director of New Products and the exec team to vision a complete profile ecosystem. We did not limit our thinking here to what we could get done in an initial release, as we were trying to brainstorm around what a mature industy-leading version of this product could look like. We talked to a number of current users about how they felt about the ideas that we had come up with.

Design & Prototyping
After working with my Product Manager we agree on a launch scope for the project and began to put together designs from our wireframe flow, and built a prototype. We launched the prototype in a closed Beta and interviewed a number of users about their experience. We used that user information and the metrics we gathered from the Beta to craft a launch version of the Product.

Interactions
Creating a number of interactions for the style guide since this was a new product and there were a number of editing features and user tools which we had never built before. I created a case for each new interaction and presented them to our Design Systems team for review and inclusion in our pattern and style guides.

Final Designs for Product Launch
Due to the success of the Beta we decided to launch the User Profiles product. Profile creation metrics surpassed all our target numbers, which meant it was going to be a product we continued to support and add to our Product Roadmap for enhancements and new features.
